Stan Pietrowicz is research director of the applied cybersecurity and network modernization department at Peraton Labs. He is responsible for commercial cybersecurity programs and research in control system cyber integrity and embedded system cyber vulnerability analysis, which advance both the science and practice of cybersecurity across diverse markets and industries.
Pietrowicz has 30 years of combined experience in smart energy, intelligent transportation and communications. A trusted advisor to major utilities, he pioneered the 4-Quadrant™ security assessment approach that has been adopted by the utility and transportation sectors. He founded the Peraton Labs SecureSmart™ critical infrastructure solution line, successfully transitioning innovative research into a commercial solution that protects and improves field network reliability in major utilities across the U.S. Pietrowicz actively leads groundbreaking research in cybersecurity for energy delivery systems, cyber-weapon hunting systems and automated cyber vulnerability analysis of embedded systems. He is a published author on connected vehicle network security and manages a commercial cybersecurity services business that supports clients in the utility, transportation, finance, health care, entertainment and public sectors. Pietrowicz received a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Holder of 25 patents, he was recognized as a company fellow in 2015 for his numerous contributions across diverse market segments, ranging from solution development to technology transfer and customer engagement. |
