Red Team Deployed: Peraton’s AI Suite To Accelerate Workflow for Cyber Operators

Peraton, a leader in applied artificial intelligence for national security, has been awarded the GHOSTCREW contract supporting U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER). In collaboration with the Cyber Fusion Innovation Center (CFIC), the Army Cyber Technology and Innovation Center (ArCTIC), and ARCYBER, GHOSTCREW aims to accelerate experiential learning for red team and penetration testing operators through a next-generation AI-assisted platform.

Peraton’s proposed solution embeds AI directly into the operator’s workflow. Unlike standalone AI tools that require users to supply relevant data, this approach allows the AI to observe user activity and provide real-time, contextual decision support, including recommendations for what tools to use, how to use them, and high-level operational strategies. By accumulating knowledge from operator behavior and trusted knowledge sources, the platform builds a rich, evolving database that supports future operations with enhanced speed and precision.

“The GHOSTCREW project embodies what can be done today in human machine teaming,” said Todd Borkey, chief technology officer, Peraton. “Embedding advanced AI directly into cyber operator workflows presents a massive gain in how we train, fight, and defend.”
